Double-Click with your leftmouse on mbam-setup.exe
Chose your language >
OKFollow Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Setup Wizard:
> Next > I accept the agreement > Next > Next > Next > Next
Chose which icons you want > Next > Install > Finish
Now You get the Welcome Screen of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

Go to the tab "
Update" > hit: Check for Updates > wait until it's finished > click
OKYou will see a picture similar to the figure below.
Click the button "
Check for Updates" once more.
When you get the message "
You have the latest database version" click
OK.
Go to the Tab "
Settings" > Have a look if you agree with these settings, you can choose what you like.

Close all applications, your Web Browser, all open windows.
Go to the Tab "
Scanner" > Select a scanning option > choose "
Perform full scan" > click
ScanSee the picture below.

Wait until the Scan is finished, that can last a little while.
Use "
Pause Scan" or "
Abort Scan" if you must finish scanning your machine to avoid problems.
When the scan is finished, you will get the message:
"The Scan completed successfully.
Click "
Show results" to display all objects found" click
OK.

You will get a new window with the results of the scan. Malware has been found on your machine but until now nothing has been done with this malware: "
No action taken".
You can use your mouse to highlight the line(s) (1).
You can use your right mouse to get a context menu with for example the choice to add a line to the ignore list (2), which means that this object will no more be scanned. Click "
Save Logfiile" (3). Do you want to remove it? Then click the button "
Remove Selected" (4).
Have a look to the picture below.

Now your malware will be removed to quarantine. When its done, you will get a new window and a message: "All selected items removed successfully. A logfile was saved to the Logs folder" > click
OK. Another window will popup with the logfile.

Now your malware is quarantined. You may want to decide if you want ask for advice or delete the quarantined malware at once. The malware is in Quarantine, you are back in the "Welcome Screen". You can now exit the program. Otherwise you can go to the Tab "
Quarantine" and open it. It doesn't matter if you open the Quarantine now or later. When you have opened Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Quarantine, you can chose whether you want to delete single objects or all objects. For single objects you need to highlight an entry with your mouse and chose "
Delete". If you want to delete all found malware objects, click onto the button "
Delete All". You can also decide to "
Restore" only one object or "
Restore All". An image showing this is below.

Now you are done, the malware has been deleted. Back in the
Main Menu you can decide what to do next. Did you ignore some files? Go to the Tab "
Ignore list", open it, use your left mouse to hightlight an entry. If you want to "
Remove" an item or "
Remove All" items from the
Ignore list, they will be found by the next scan.

To get your logfiles, go to the Tab "
Logs", open the Log folder, use your mouse to highlight that logfile which you want to see, click "
Open". Your logfile opens, you can copy and paste it to your thread.
You can also "
Remove" single or "
Remove All" Logfiles.

Do you need a tool to delete a locked malware file? Go to the Tab "
More Tools", click onto the button "
Run Tool" to open FileASSASSIN, browse with your Windows Explorer through the files and folders until you have found the file where you are looking for, click "
open". You get a new message with a warning that the file will be permanently deleted. If you are sure that you want to continue, click
YES. Have a look to the picture below.
Use "
Bug Reporting" to inform the Team of Malwarebytes over Bugs, False Positives.
