Thanks for your help. I need to request theses files to assist with an issue that is presenting a challenge. Cookiegal is providing assistance at the following forum:

http://forums.techguy.org/virus-other-malware-removal/1068370-some-kind-bug-10.html

The two files I need are:
C:\Documents and Settings\willie_dinish\Local Settings\Application Data\8kUL5H5g
C:\Documents and Settings\willie_dinish\No

I appears that I can only get the one file to attach.
Thanks again.

I'm not sure which one was needed. I didn't find one with the file name you suggested or a zip file.

There is no sign of malware there, but it seems to be showing a problem with the dhcp name server

are you connecting wireless or via an ethernet lead

If wireless, then delete the wireless connection & reset it up again

I downloaded DDS and gmer. DDS was successful and I have attached those files. I tried gmer several times unsuccessfully. It would run for about 5 minutes and then a pop up would inform me that it had stopped. I clicked "save" to see if anything would show up but when I opened the file it was blank.

Malware removal and help / Laptop cannot access the internet anymore.

My daughters laptop was working fine. She turned it off the other day and upon rebooting it was not able to log on to the internet anymore :-[. We use AVG, not the free version we paid for the whole thing. But AVG says there is no virus, that the laptop is clean. I ran a Hijack This scan and it kept telling me it could not do something, but I am posting the log. This is a Dell laptop running Windows 7, please advise me if I need a newer version of Hijack this, I ran the scan with a version several years old. Please help if you can. :D

Donations

You have come to The Spykiller for help because your Antivirus or Antispyware hasn't been able to fix your problem.

Modern Malware has become so involved and difficult to fix that it takes a very long time and a lot of hard work to read all the logs posted here and research and prepare the fixes for you. In many cases each part of the fix takes about 30 minutes to prepare, so a large part of my time is spent helping you

Would you do all this for nothing?
